PicadillaDaisy is being featured!

I just found out that my hair bows will be featured on JB's website. Yes that is the JB of agoo apparel. I am pretty excited. I met her in person and she is an amazing person. I have to send her some clothing as well, as that is what originally caught her eye, but Christmas time is a really busy time for me not enought time to sew.

But here is a link to the website.

I will be featured tommorow.

Slacker

Oh I have not been keeping up. There has been so much to do and not enough time to do it all. I am sure any mom can understand. Unless you are one of those moms whose children sleep 12 hours a night and take 2 hour naps every day, in that case just don't talk to me. lol I have been busy sewing and making bows selling on my website as well as my hyena cart. I have also been helping Jeff with his business. Today I was working on a website for Jeff, he is getting hi tech, although he has no idea how to do anything. Not that I am all that much better, but I can propagate the name servers, which totally boggled him!

Long Weekend

Well it is a long weekend. My husband has taken an extra day off of work so that we could go camping. I had everything packed and ready to go Thursday evening. We left around 7:00 to head to Manning Park provincial campground. We made it to my parents house that night, it was raining and decided not to head to the campsite and set up in the dark and rain. Me made it to our destination on Friday about 11:00 am. Genevieve napped on the way up but when she woke up she was very grumpy and crying. She wanted to use the potty (she just turned two) but she was having a hard time. About 1/2 hour later she had an accident in her pants. 3 hours later she had gone thru 3 pairs of pants. You ask why did I not put her in a diaper. She usually only poops once a day, and never in her pants. Well after she had an accident in her last pair of pants we packed up and headed home. It was our shortest camping trip lasting about 5 hrs. I woke up this morning not feeling well. Both Jeff and I suffered today with nausea and headaches. So much for a long weekend!

Well my house is messy again, I have decided that if I want my house to remain tidy I have to hire someone to clean my house. Usually Jeff does not like to hire someone to clean our house, but after I cleaned the house for 18 hrs and within the week is was messy again, he has conceded. I have been finding it very difficult to keep a organized house when Jeff is working 12 hr days. I also work 3 days a week outside of the home until the end of August. So I work 30 hrs a week at a dental office, busy with picadilladaisy, and I help my husband with the bookkeeping and estimating for his business. I think it is a Little too much for one person. Both Jeff and I need to have our home neat and organized, which I am sure most of you will concede is very difficult with two busy children.

I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend!

Weekend alone

Well this weekend I was all by myself. I had to work on Saturday and it was my niece's birthday this weekend. My husband made the 4 hour trek with the children to my sister's house. It was a very strange feeling when everyone left. It was the first time being home without anyone. My mission this weekend was to clean my house. I started on Friday night, with the help of my girlfriend. We were optimistic that if we worked until about midnight the whole house would be clean. We managed to clean the upstairs. It was very clean though. Thanks for all the help Char. So today I woke up to try and finish the job we started. I steam cleaned my carpets, got on my hands and knees and scrubbed my floors. Most of my house is now sparkling. I only have to finish the basement now. The basement includes my studio, which of course is too small for all of my crafts. I need more space for all of my fabric and ribbons. I have a pile of new fabric that needs to be washed so it can be made into some wonderful creation. Hopefully I will have it completed by next week. Even though I did not get much me time this weekend it was so worth it to have a sparkling house. No more fingerprints on walls and stains on floors.

My New Blog, My New Website

Well after fighting it I have finally set up a website. It was a little daunting to me at first, but it is almost complete! http://www.picadilladaisy.com/ check it out! I am really excited about this new way of selling my handmade wares. I love to create new outfits and this is an excellent way to stay in touch with my customers. Previously my items have been sold by word of mouth, and some boutique stores. I am very excited about my customers being able to see what is new and for them to be able to purchase my items from the comfort of their own home. I hope to be adding more items to might site soon and have a grand opening as well. Be sure to check back as I will be posting a grand opening coupon code. My goals for this blog are to get some tutorials up, and to have a few competitions as well. Thanks for letting me share.
